The year was 1924. It was the heart of the Prohibition Era and wine’s darkest hour when it was outlawed and deemed unconstitutional. It was also the year the Delicato family first planted vineyards in California and farmed grapes that were sold to friends and neighbors.
Crafted using grapes from select vineyards throughout Northern California, specifically from the Lodi region. Lodi’s climate is ideal for growing concentrated, full-flavored grapes—well draining sandy soil, warm summer afternoons and cooling nighttime breezes from the Pacific Ocean.

Deep, dark ruby color.
NOSE
Rich aromas of blackberry, mocha, caramel and vanilla, setting the stage for a core of concentrated flavors of plum, dark chocolate, toasted marshmallow and allspice.
PALATE
This smooth, almost silky, wine shows a beautiful black-fruit tone, with a full-bodied frame and a light touch of tannins. It has plenty of black fruit and vanilla notes.
PAIRING
Pair it with charbroiled bacon cheeseburgers, spicy sausages or pork ribs slathered in barbecue sauce.
