Winemaking and viticulture are the family passions which dates back to 1697 when the first De Wet settler in South Africa was appointed cellar master of the Dutch East India Company.

This rich wine is from the region of Robertson which lies in the Breede River Valley region of South Africa. With high levels of sunshine, producing an array of fine wines.

APPEARANCE
Deep plum with purple hues.

NOSE
Intense black cherries supported by hints of vanilla, chocolate and earthy aromas.

PALATE
Sweet cherry fruit flavours with silky cocoa, chocolate tannins.
Balanced acid gives this wine good length.

AGEING
The wine was stored on American and French oak staves and allowed to mature prior to bottling.

PAIRING
An ideal accompaniment to red meat dishes.
