GE Weinhaus Cuba Am Rhein Riesling Trocken Leo (Dry)

Founded by Marcel and OAna of the Cuba am Rhein winery at Weinstadt 15km east of Stuttgart. 

Grapes harvested by hand, the Vines are grown on top of slate rock, this is the decisive factor that makes this wine so unique. Slate heats up quickly, storing heat and releasing it at night. 

On the other hand, the folded shale rock retains moisture. This influences the ripeness of the grapes and the minerality in the wine.

APPEARANCE Bright, straw yellow.

NOSE Intense nose with fine reduction, smoky and slightly flinty.

PALATE Ripe yellow peach, exotic fruit in the background, fruity length and mineral notes.

PAIRING Consider pairing this dry Riesling with sushi, prosciutto and arugula salad, pork schnitzel and shrimp tempura.
