FR Vellas Nice Angel Merlot Pays d’Oc

The Vignobles Vellas winery started four generations ago in the heart of the Languedoc. The main family property, the Mas du Pont estate, the center of their activities, is a place of culture and traditions. It is located in the towns of Teyran and Crès, near Montpellier, between Pic St Loup and the Mediterranean. Today Nicolas Vella is at the helm, passionate about wine and the Languedoc region. He strives for excellence, authenticity and innovation. This forms a perfect basis for making wines of very high quality. Vignobles Vellas has 120 hectares of vineyards, spread over five wine estates.

TASTING NOTES:

Unlike its sibling, ‘Bad Angel’, Nice Angel has a more rounded, smooth profile on tasting.

A 100% red wine, harvested at full ripeness and grown on the Languedoc slopes, it has been made using the traditional winemaking method – a meticulous effort.

On opening, the wine has a deep purple colour to charm us with a nose of complex spices, red and black fruits.

The palate is exceptional, generous, powerful and silky smooth, winning us over from start to finish.
