The Vignobles Vellas winery started four generations ago in the heart of the Languedoc. The main family property, the Mas du Pont estate, the center of their activities, is a place of culture and traditions. It is located in the towns of Teyran and Crès, near Montpellier, between Pic St Loup and the Mediterranean. Today Nicolas Vella is at the helm, passionate about wine and the Languedoc region. He strives for excellence, authenticity and innovation. This forms a perfect basis for making wines of very high quality. Vignobles Vellas has 120 hectares of vineyards, spread over five wine estates.

TASTING NOTES: Deep, dark crimson, practically black colour. Pleasant and expressive intensity on the nose, with notes of black fruit (black currant, blackberry, blueberry), sweet spices (cinnamon, vanilla), a touch of cocoa and a pleasant cigar box scent. Sumptuous mouth aroma, the coated tannins making it velvety. The finish lingers with a sensation of richness.
PAIRING: This is a great match to a variety of dishes, especially confit duck, coq au vin and hard cheeses.
