1886: The tradition began with the audacity and expertise of Alcide Monmousseau who founded in 1886, this fine wine merchant house in Montrichard (Loir et Cher)
ALC: 12%
VARIETALS: Chenin Blanc 70%, Chardonnay 10%, 20% Pinot Noir, Pineau d’Aunis and Cabernet Franc.
APPEARANCE: Pale gold. Fine, delicate bubbles.
NOSE: The nose opens with a floral bouquet.
PALATE: The palate is full-bodied and very fresh with notes of white-fleshed fruit. A finish of small red fruits, brought by the red Touraine grape varieties. A tasting of freshness and salinity. Beautiful length and aromatic persistence.
AGING: Second Fermentation in the bottle, aged on slats for 36 months.
PAIRINGS: Ideal on its own as an aperitif, with oysters or seafood. It also goes very well with fresh goat’s cheese, Sainte-Maure-de-Touraine or at the end of a meal with a lemon meringue tart.
