Domaine la Florane represents the wines made from vines in Visan, on land handed down by the family of Marie-Pierre Fabre. Three generations of vignerons, two terroirs, but the same family spirit. And a shared philosophy that now underpins a single identity.
From the southern Rhone Valley, this is a hearty yet fresh wine. “A Fleur de Pampre” is a “emerging vine shoot”, a symbol of a certain art of living; it embodies gourmet pleasure and sharing, conveying the true spirit of its terroir in the South of France. Unique, rich palate with stonefruits and honeysuckle. Its super length lingers.
VARIETAL: A blend of Marsanne, Grenache Blanc, Clairette, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Viognier from vineyards at 350 metres altitude in a pebble and soil mixture. Vines are about 30 years old, and sheltered by woods to the east, thus protected from the intense sun.
PALATE: Aromatics and flavours of white blossom, apricot, peach and grapefruit, with some citrus rind and pith bitterness to balance. Mid-weight and with some decent texture, a stony mineral edge giving cut and definition. Fresh and energetic throughout, with great pithy length.
