Production: Sweet wine based in the Semillon, the grape variety for excellency for the great white wines of Bordeaux, both dry and sweet.
A grape variety that is particularly susceptible to noble rot, hence its importance in the Sauternes district, a small enclave in Graves devoted to the production of sweet white wine located about 40 km south-east of Bordeaux.
Elaborated mainly from the Semillon variety supplemented by Sauvignon and a little Muscadelle. Hand harvested and selected from the family estate’s 7 acres of chalk, clay and gravel soils.
The grapes have gone through a different meticulous selection process in order to obtain the grapes at the optimum point of noble rot.
Tasting Notes: Light, clean palate, fruity, filled with elegant candied fruit with some tangy lemon, beautifully floral nuance and a clean fresh finish.
Note: Excellent ageing potential. Ideal chilled with desserts or as an aperitif.
