The 2016 vintage was an exciting one. The capricious weather of the year with sustained and late rains at the beginning of the season followed by a long drought put the winegrowers’ nerves to the test. However, the quality of the vintage was exceptional from the moment the grapes arrived in the vat room. At Château Pédesclaux, the harvest was of such a high standard that it was the first time that the property’s 4 grape varieties were blended in the grand vin.
VARIETALS: Merlot 67% , supplemented by 30% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Petit Verdot
ALC: 13%
TASTING NOTES: It is a wine characterized by a tender texture and roundness. It is a wine of indulgence, silky, even more charming in a 2016 vintage which reveals aromatic profiles of great freshness. Fleur de Pédesclaux 2016 offers another interpretation of the illustrious Pauillac appellation .
