FR Château la Bastide Côtes du Marmandais Rouge

The Château La Bastide is located on the highest point in the village of Cocumont and was built during the Hundred Year’s War in 1472.

Owned by multiple generations of the Lafitte family , their vineyards cover 57 hectares located near the city of Marmande, alongside the famous river: Garonne.

VINTAGE: 2020

Grape Variety: 85% Merlot , 15% Malbec 

Alcohol 14.5%

TASTING NOTES: With its intense cherry color, this 2020 immediately attracts attention with its expressive and complex aromatic palette: sour cherry; black and ripe fruits, and slight vanilla notes.  To the palate, the attack is supple and harmonious, evolving on tannins well melted. The finish is long and silky.

Food pairing It will accompany various dishes from meats to cheese including red meats and pork.
