Château de Sancerre is one of the few French châteaux to bear the name of an appellation. Situated on the left bank of the Loire, overlooking a unique terroir of 4 different soils, it comprises 55 hectares of vineyards.

Château de Sancerre wines are vinified and matured right up to bottling, directly at the Château.

To produce this white Sancerre, the three terroirs characteristic of the Appellation must be brought together, each with its own specific characteristics:

Flint brings ageing potential, structure, freshness and minerality; the terres blanches provide roundness and aromas of white flowers (lily and acacia) and exotic fruits (lychee and pineapple);

Caillottes (hard limestone) and Griottes (soft limestone), freshness and intense floral and citrus aromas.
The blend of these terroirs produces a fine, elegant and complex cuvée.
