Located in the heart of the town of the same name, Château de Sancerre is one of the rare French châteaux to bear the name of an appellation. Recognized worldwide, the wines are vinified, aged and then bottled within the grounds of the Château. The 55-hectare vineyard benefits from four distinct types of soil (flint, chalk, clay and sand) and the teams practice viticulture that is mindful of the consumer and the environment. In 15 years, the use of sulphites has been reduced by half. Conversion to organic farming in progress.
