Cap Royal takes its name from the royal Cordouan lighthouse, the oldest lighthouse of Europe, situated at the entrance of Gironde Estuary. This 14th century beacon once signalled safe passage to Bordeaux wine merchants, returning home after sharing the great wines of Bordeaux with the world. Cap Royal benefits from the expertise of Jean René Matignon, winemaker of Château Pichon Baron, Grand Cru Classé Pauillac.

APPEARANCE
Beautiful intense red colour with purple reflections.

NOSE
The nose exhibits aromas of blackberry and blueberry jam with spicy and toasted notes.

PALATE
On the palate, the richness of the wine is evident through a creaminess enhanced by vanilla notes brought by the ageing in oak. A powerful, rich and fresh Bordeaux.

AGEING
Aged in oak barrels  12 months

PAIRING
Lamb, aged beef and stews are really going to shine, as well as cheese at the end of the meal.
