Château Desmirail was originally founded by Jean Desmirail at the end of the 1600’s, and had once been part of the vast Rauzan estate owned by Pierre de Rauzan. Château Desmirail was owned by M. Sipière, then-manager of Château Margaux, at the time of the 1855 classification.

TASTING NOTES:
Deep ruby garnet, purple glints, faintly lighter at the rim. Flowery scents, a hint of liquorice and cassis, mineral, soft woody nuances.
Juicy, elegant, expressive core, fine tannins, delicate nougat on the finish, balanced and persistent. A medium-weight food accompaniment that is poised for a striking future.
