CH Pater Familiae Heredium Cabernet/Carmenere Blend 2015

The Spanish conquistador Francisco de Aguirre planted a vine in Chile in the 16th century. Further continuing the work of their ancestors, Ana Maria Etcheberri and Pedro Felix de Aguirre founded the Bodegas y Vinedos de Aguirre winery, which adheres to the winemaking traditions of the family.The Pater Familiae line was created specifically for the anniversary of the death of the great winemaker Felix de Aguirre and represents the heart and soul of the family. 

This range of ultra premium wines gathers the best grapes from specially selected blocks owned by Cruz de Aguirre and also converges the fruit of the work of three generations of winemakers.  

“HEREDIUM” represent the heirs and the heritage. This wine seeks to be the testimony of the great viticultural French tradition, elegance and complexity.

TECHNICAL DATA Alcohol 14%

APPEARANCE Dark cherry red with violet.

NOSE Aromas of black fruit, some blackberries, black cherry, spices, light toasted.

PALATE The palate shows a well-balanced taste with nuances of ripe dark fruits (plum, cherries), subtle hints of spices, ripe tannins and a long aftertaste. Juicy, compact, medium depth, sweet mouth.

AGEING Aged for 22 months in a mix of French and American oak barrels.

PAIRING It combines perfectly with grilled red meat, game and aged cheeses.
