Beresford Estate has been creating a legacy since 1985 when founder and industry great Rob Dundon and his wife Bronwyn purchased the old Horndale Winery with the vision of producing premium quality wines.

Harvested from our most intense, balanced and well-structured batch of McLaren Vale Shiraz. From Selected vineyards in McLaren Vale, only the best parcels are utilised for this maturation program, with only the finest barrels selected for bottling. A limited release with varying quantities produced each vintage.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Deep garnet with a tawny hue.

Bouquet: The nose starts with pronounced dark chocolate, dark plum, raisin, and prune aromas. Further depth reveals the presence of a dark fruitcake essence, intertwined with nuances of tobacco, cedar wood, and black pepper.

Palate: Dark liquorice, fennel, and cumin seed. Tannins possess a wild, chalky nature, fully coating the palate. This Shiraz demonstrates a robust, concentrated structure with a vibrant acidity that lends graceful support to the back palate. The finish lingers with umami undertones and an interplay of savoury notes. When compared to its Shiraz peers within our portfolio, this expression stands out as a showcase of tertiary characteristics.

AGING: French and American oak where it undergoes maturation for up to 18 months.
