Chateau Haut-Plantade, whose foundation dates back to 1800, is located in the oldest wine growing region of Bordeaux, in the heart of the Pessac-Léognan designation.

It is close to the most prestigious wine propriety of Léognan (Chevalier, Château Malartic-Lagravière and Château de Fieuzal estates/domains).

VINTAGE: 2017

ALC: 13.5%

VARIETALS:  48% Merlot, 52% Cabernet Sauvignon

TASTING NOTES:

Made up of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, vinified in steel tanks. The aging takes place in oak barrels for 16 months.

Ruby red in color with garnet reflections, the wine has a complex bouquet with aromas of red and black fruits, raspberries, strawberries, black currants and vanilla notes. The sip is full-bodied and rich, with silky tannins and a good persistence.

It goes well with baked and stewed game.
