SP Gramona Gessamí D.O.: Penedès

The Batlle family, owner of the Gramona winery, has been producing wine in Sant Sadurní d´Anoia, the capital of the Cava D.O., since 1881. Now, following the path of ingenuity and boldness traced more than a century ago by their predecessors, a new generation of the Batlle family runs the winery with renewed passion.

The winery has 150 hectares of grapevines spread out through 15 unique vineyards.

Gramona Gessamí is made from an original blend of Muscat de Frontignan, Muscat of Alexandria, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer organic grapes.

Appearance  The white wine Gramona Gessamí is medium straw with some greenish glints.

Nose  This blend of Muscat of Alexandria, Muscat of Frontignan, Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer exhibits deep floral nuances, particularly jasmine and orange blossom, combined with notes of citrus, underbush, peach compote and some mineral remembrances.

Palate    Exotic and creamy, this white wine from the Gramona winery has great freshness and a lush texture. Delicious notes of white flowers, orange peel, peaches, apricots, aromatic herbs and green almonds. Long, fruity finish.

PAIRING: A gentle Penedès white wine, Gramona Gessamí 2022 pairs wonderfully with cheese and oily fishes.
