Chianti Geografico is a beautiful story of passion and attachment to its territory. A cooperative born thanks to the initiative of 17 far-sighted winemakers, "Quelli del Geografico", who back in 1961 understood the importance of the extraordinary relationship between a wine and its production territory. From those initial seventeen, today it has reached as many as sixty.
The numbers have grown but the passion for their origins and for the prince of the region's grape varieties, Sangiovese, which continues to be the absolute protagonist in the cellar, has not changed. Today, Chianti Geografico is part of the Piccini group, which bought it so as not to risk losing the memory of that group of good winemakers.

TASTING NOTES The nose reveals intense aromas of ripe cherry, wild berries, anise and light hints of spice. The palate is savoury and elegant, raspberry jam and a hint of Mediterranean herbs join velvety tannins on the palate.
Vinification Colli Senesi is a well-circumscribed hilly area that embraces the city of Siena, covering the southwest of the Chianti Classico DOCG area.
The production standards are more inflexible when compared to traditional Chianti; this implies a greater selection, necessary to achieve a better quality. We make use of the most modern winemaking techniques to express all the fruity yet rustic charm of a high quality Chianti.
